Art Classes
At the end of my introductory drawing classes, I always issue each student an artistic license that looks like a driver’s license. It says, “Issued at Birth, Never Expires and Entitles the Holder to Have Fun With Art.” I believe that if you can sign your name, you already have the skills and ability to draw. My Fine-Tune Your Drawing Skills class teaches you to see and put what you see on paper. From there, any of my course offerings are tailored to fit each student’s needs within the confines of the class. The primary goal of every class is to learn a lot and have fun doing it. I taught art classes to college students for over 25 years and still enjoy sharing my expertise while watching students discover the joy of creating art.
Drawing Horses
Take time for yourself and enjoy the company of some lovely horses who have agreed to model while you sketch. Learn basic anatomical landmarks, study individual parts of the horse, the basics of equine motion, and how to integrate the horse into a landscape setting. We will spend time on gesture drawing (quick sketches) and longer studies. Draw large, draw small, experiment with pen & ink, pencil, colored pencils, charcoal, even pastels or paints.
