Bodywork: First Choice, Not Last Resort

Bodywork is essential to maintain function and health

When I place my hands on a body with the intent to feel energy, I am able to tune in to a symphony of body rhythms
My focus is to find weak links in the chain of body rhythms and invite the body to return to normal function.

Body Rhythms

When I place my hands on a body with the intent to feel energy, I am able to tune in to a symphony of body rhythms. As I listen to these rhythms with my hands and my intuition, I am guided to areas within the body that have slowed or otherwise gone out of sync with these body rhythms. All of the cells and tissues of a body, including bones, fascia, muscles, tendons, blood vessels, vital organs and nerves are alive and connected. They depend upon each other for survival. They communicate through dynamic, pulsating rhythms. When the normal form is altered (not at ease) by acute or chronic stresses, be they physical or emotional, the body’s function (health) will diminish over time.

My focus is to find weak links in the chain of body rhythms and invite the body to return to normal function. In doing this, I honor the body’s desire to heal itself. By bring attention to areas of dysfunction; I am able to guide the body to reset itself to normal. This is pure energy work without physical manipulation.

Once tension is released, a body is able to assume a
comfortable and functionally efficient posture. Relaxation allows for ease of movement and freedom from stress.

The energy work modalities I have learned include:
  • Animal Normalization Therapy, ANT - a unique combination of manual therapy techniques derived from the principles of osteopathy with its main goal of "normalizing" dysfunctions in the body.
  • Sound Therapy  - The use of a variety of frequencies to locate, disperse and clear energetic congestion in the auric field. Chakra clearing and toning. Emotional clearing using standardized charts and magnetic input.
  • Functional Indirect Technique, FIT
  • Craniosacral, CS
  • Jin Shin the High Touch® Way
I also have a working knowledge of the following energy work modalities: TCM Acupressure, and I employ homeopathy, essential oils, and flower essences in my work.
