Why Bodywork Is Essential To Your Dog's Comfort
Once tension is released, a body is able to assume a comfortable and functionally efficient posture. Relaxation allows for ease of movement and freedom from stress.

Body Rhythms
When I place my
hands on a body with the intent to feel energy, I am able to tune in to a
symphony of body rhythms. As I listen to these rhythms with my hands and my
intuition, I am guided to areas within the body that have slowed or otherwise
gone out of sync with these body rhythms. All of the cells and tissues of a body,
including bones, fascia, muscles, tendons, blood vessels, vital organs and
nerves are alive and connected. They depend upon each other for survival. They
communicate through dynamic, pulsating rhythms. When the normal form is altered
(not at ease) by acute or chronic stresses, be they physical or emotional, the
body’s function (health) will diminish over time.
My focus is to find weak links in the chain of body rhythms and invite the body to return to normal function. In doing this, I honor the body’s desire to heal itself. By bring attention to areas of dysfunction; I am able to guide the body to reset itself to normal. This is pure energy work without physical manipulation. |
Bodywork for Dogs?
Does your dog ever run, jump or play?
For the most part, we think of dogs in terms of friendship and overlook their physical state of being unless they become ill. But, young or old, all bodies need regular maintenance to preserve optimal function and move through their lives in comfort. Even bodies with perfect conformation, enjoying stress-free lives make sudden, unexpected moves or overuse muscles and regular bodywork for dogs, especially older dogs, improves comfort and mobility. An ANT, Animal Normalization Therapy session for a senior dog is like oiling the rusty old Tin Man! |
